]]>We'll have some nibbles on hand, beverages will be available for purchase, as will the landscape prints on display. Christmas will be just two weeks away at that point, and an original, beautifully mounted landscape photo would make a great gift!
Donations to the Kelowna Women's Shelter (money, non-perishable food items, grocery store gift cards) will be gratefully accepted.
As a special thank you, those who attend can also enter a draw to win one of the images (12x18) featured in the show .
I look forward to seeing you there!

What better time to arrange to capture the memories through family photos? Or to present those impossible to buy for family members with a photo shoot gift certificate?
Photos truly are a gift that lasts a lifetime, and never goes out of style!
I would love to be part of creating lasting images of you and your family. Get in touch soon to book your holiday photo session or to purchase a gift certificate.
]]>I took the first chopper ride up to the top, and had the rare opportunity to get to choose the exact spot where the ceremony would occur, all based on the location of the sun and the availability of photo backdrops and general, scenic beauty!
Mother Nature must have known there was something special happening that day! There was heavy rain the day before; heavy rain the day after; and heavy rain only 20 minutes AFTER the helicopter landed back in Revelstoke after the ceremony! It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple, and I was honoured to share it!
Photo shoots for 2014 are already booking up, so if you've got a wedding or other event coming up, let's connect soon to talk about how I can capture the magic of your special day!

It was amazing to see that while evidence of the flooding was apparent, an incredible amount of repair work has already been done, and the hard-working people of these great communities have come together in a way that's truly inspiring, and uniquely Canadian.
The homes featured here are just a few examples of the beautiful spaces I regularly get the privilege of photographing.
Are you looking for new photos for your web site and marketing? Give me a call and let us work together to make that happen.

When I photographed this beautiful home in Penticton for Kim at All Elements: Design. Manage. Build recently, the planets aligned, and the clouds cooperated!
I really enjoy working with designers and builders, and it's extra special for me when the pictures I take help them win professional recognition and awards. With the Canadian Home Builders Association of the Central Okanagan now accepting submissions for the 2013 Tommie Awards I'm looking forward to working once again with new, and existing, clients to capture the beauty and skill of their work in photos.
]]>It was a gala affair covered by all the media, with a broad range of dignitaries and VIP's in attendance. From a hole in the ground to a beautiful hotel with 120 plush rooms and Ric's Lounge and Grill in 15 short months, the Four Points by Sheraton Airport is a crown jewel for Argus Properties, and testament to the company's 'get-it-done' attitude.
It's official, the Four Points by Sheraton Airport is open!
Congratulations to Argus Properties Ltd., and Four Points by Sheraton on their beautiful hotel!

What a humbling experience to be selected as Kelowna's Best Photographer.
And what an honour to have been in a category with so many talented
colleagues I hold in high esteem!
To the clients, friends and others who voted for me I say a huge "Thank
you!" Your ongoing support means the world to me.
It was a beautiful morning for Darren and Dana's Las Vegas wedding, with barely a cloud in the sky and temperatures in the low 30's predicted. In planning the shot list, I knew mixing air-conditioned, indoor locations with outdoor, iconic Vegas landmarks as backdrops was critical!
Dana was stunning in her elegant wedding dress and Darren looked fantastic in his tux! They were stars about posing in the heat, and the love they have for each other is wonderful and obvious.
Gorgeous and elegant!
It was an amazing day with a wonderful couple. It is always an honour to be included in, and asked to photograph, such an important day.
Thank you Darren and Dana!

Here are my top five tips on what you can do to get that same result, whether you're preparing to sell your home or showcase your latest professional project.
1) Replace that burnt out light bulb! Even if it is dangling 20 feet off the floor in a stunning chandelier, or is high up under the eaves of a home, like the one below!
2) Shower and mirror spots and streaks begone! Sparkling is the word that should always come to mind when you're looking at a space that's about to photographed. So apply a little elbow grease, and get that hardwood and tile gleaming!
3) Eliminate mats! Kitchen mats, bathroom mats (unless they're part of the colour scheme), front door mats, backdoor mats, dog mats, and even entry mats outside the front door. They're practical and necessary, but rarely photogenic!
4) Clear counter clutter. Blenders, coffee makers, that "to do" basket, sink soap, and anything by the bathroom sink should be placed out of sight. And clear the shower out. We want people's eyes to be struck by the beautiful tile work not latch onto your favourite brand of shampoo!
5) Choose the best time of day. Naturally, the best time for photos is often less-than convenient. Dinner time (about an hour before sunset), and early morning around sunrise is when you'll get optimal light. When a photography shoot is coming up, I watch the weather forecast more than a meteorologist!
How do you get a property ready for photos? I'd love to hear your ideas!

The view from our patio.
There are a couple of large, and apparently quite hungry, resident crocodiles. Leave small pets at home or their vacation may not be that great!
Keeping a wary eye on me.
It was true Mexico. We toured the bay on a genuine Mexican fishing boat! This turned into one of the best parts of the trip. Not only did we catch fish for dinner, but we also got to see a whale and her calf frolic in the waves. All this, plus a cruise into the mangroves and scenes of diving pelicans kept my camera busy.
So close you could hear the whale exhale.
It was such a rejuvenating trip and I look forward to sharing a few more photos in the weeks to come.
Happy Easter!

It was the perfect weekend for a winter photo shoot.
The temperature at Cozy Cabins Nature Resort near Lumby, British Columbia was just below freezing, and the ground and trees were laden with fluffy, fresh snow. The air was still and the stars glistened in the night sky.
For my comfort, warm socks, boots and gloves were a given, but I didn't mind being a little chilly when it meant I got the opportunity to capture images like these:
Cozy Cabins Nature Resort is 45 minutes from Vernon and 90 minutes from Kelowna. It’s definitely one of the coziest, and most relaxing, places I’ve ever stayed and I can’t wait to go back and check it out in the summer!
I love helping people and organizations like Cozy Cabins take their business to the next level through photography. Whether you need product, real estate, event or people shots for your website and other marketing efforts, Lipsett Photography Group can help! Contact me at [email protected]

Being a romance junkie, I especially love photographing weddings and am always honoured to be asked to take part in such a special occasion. So, of course, I am super excited to be going to Las Vegas, Nevada in May, and to the top of a mountain in Revelstoke, BC by helicopter in August to do photographs for two very special couples!
I am also excited to begin offering a gift certificate program that will allow your guests to contribute to your wedding photography package as their wedding gift. It's perfect for those couples who already have all the dishes and silverware they'll ever need!
Wedding packages start at $2500. If you'd like to know more about the gift certificate program or just want to connect about your wedding day plans and how photography is going to play a part in the celebration, I'd love to hear from you!
